Volunteering Resource Library

Collaborate and Grow

VolunteerMatch has partnered with IdeaEncore Network and Issuelab to make it easier for nonprofit organizations share their volunteer engagement resources with others and strengthen the work of the independent sector.

The Volunteering Resource Library at IdeaEncore Network is a curated collection of hundreds of guidebooks, research reports, documents, presentations and handbooks submitted by your peers at nonprofit organizations. While major contributors include capacity building organizations like Compass Point, VolunteerMatch, Corporation for National and Community ServicePoints of Light Institute and Capaciteria, you can also find helpful submissions from grassroots organizations who have developed ideas worth sharing.

Here are some ways to use the Library:

  • Learn. Select a category to browse dozens of topics like Designing Volunteer Opportunities, Recruiting Volunteers, Preparing For The Volunteer Event, Evaluating Your Volunteer Program, Connecting With Baby Boomers And Older Adults, and more.
  • Share. Upload files and resources that you have created or share links that you have found useful in your work. Tag them #VolunteerMatch to make them easy for us to find them so that we can "like" them and add them to this library collection. Use this link to share.
  • Earn. Make money from sales of your uploads. You can make your materials available free of charge or else set the pricing as you see fit.
